From December 20, 2020 till the end of December of 2020, Zhaolin Park is closed for constructing the Ice Lantern Fair 2021 (the 47th Harbin Ice Lantern Fair). At the same time, 9 important ice and snow sculpture competitions take place in the park during the park's temporary closure. The park is expected to re-open to visitors around January 1. This year, admission is free to all visitors. Highlights of the fair mainly concentrate at the areas near the south gate and the north gate. During Harbin Ice Festival 2021, the Ice Lantern Fair is open from 09:00 thru 22:00.
