China Climbing Master Challenged the World's Biggest Ice Sculpture


A Chinese Extreme Sport master, Liu Zexian who had challenged the world's biggest ice sculpture in Harbin Ice and Snow World on February 3 - 4, 2015. 

Liu is the founder of Northeast Climbing Alliance and China's first outstanding rock-climbing trainer. He currently serves as National profession qualification (NVQ) rock-climbing trainer, NVQ rock-climbing assessor, the 1st grade rock-climbing judge, and national outdoor sports instructor. Liu had climbed several snow mountains of 5000 -7000 meters and developed more than one hundred rock-climbing routes and ice-climbing lines in Northeast China. 

Currently, the ice-climbing sport is being applied for a full sport of the Winter Olympics. Liu's challenge will play an instrumental role in popularizing the ice-climbing sport in China. Meanwhile, it will further promote the large-scale development of the ice and snow sports in Harbin.
